Abstract

ORTEGA VELAZQUEZ, Aida  and  PENARROJA CABANERO, Vicente. An Exploratory Analysis of the Relationship between Organizational Practices, Resilience, and Organizational Learning. Acta de investigación psicol [online]. 2020, vol.10, n.3, pp.7-19.  Epub Oct 25, 2021. ISSN 2007-4719.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fpsi.20074719e.2020.3.353.

The purpose of this work is to examine the relationship between organizational practices, resilience, and organizational learning in Mexican health professionals, as well as the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between organizational practices and organizational learning. An exploratory study with a cross-sectional design was carried out to collect data from 667 healthcare professionals in public hospitals in central Mexico. The convenience sampling technique was used. Participation in the study was voluntary, anonymous and with the informed consent of the participants. A questionnaire was used to measure the variables defined in this study. To confirm the study hypotheses, a structural equation model was calculated. The results obtained showed that healthy organizational practices are positively related to resilience and this, in turn, to organizational learning. Healthy organizational practices also directly influence organizational learning. In addition, a mediation effect of resilience was observed in the relationship between healthy organizational practices and organizational learning. The results suggest considering organizational practices and resilience as key variables that can help health organizations to better overcome global demands and changes, as well as achieving better results.
