Theobjective of theresearchwas to presentsomeprinciples and conceptsonwhichmodels Smart and SustainableCities are based, as well as therelationshipitholdswiththetheoreticalelements of inclusive innovation. Thestudyusedanexploratory-descriptiveapproach, and withthesupport of theCities in Motion 2016 Index (IESE Business School, 2016), wasperformedthe regional location and comparison of themainIntelligent and SustainableCities in theworld; takingpriority in exposingthesituation in LatinAmerica, particularlyMexico. Itconcludesontheneed to createsuitableenvironmentsfor inclusive innovationfromtheefficient and intensive use of availabletechnologies, so itisnecessary to acceleratelearningprocesses, construction and accumulation of technologicalcapabilities; in theconjunction of IntelligentCities and inclusive innovation as strategies of urbanmanagementthatallowthe social inclusionfromthe use and appropriation of the TIC as well as theeconomicdevelopment, social and environmental to improvethequality of life and equality of citizenship.
