Abstract

GONZALEZ, Giselle. The technological vector in Argentine universities: global challenges, local solutions. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2022, vol.13, n.38, pp.24-41.  Epub Mar 27, 2023. ISSN 2007-2872.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iisue.20072872e.2022.38.1510.

This article describes and analyzes comparatively how universities use technological production. It starts from an institutional perspective and claims that the innovation model is redrawing the paradigm of “modernization” dominant for 20 years in higher education with “solutions” in search of problems. The study design is qualitative and combines primary and secondary sources. They authors conclude that the policy regimes experienced in universities are a response to hegemonic paradigms that have been imposed as “recipes” at the global level and that the institutions reproduce practices and discourses, paying less attention to the construction of alternative models and/or the effective use of new technologies.

Keywords : university; technology transfer; innovation; national state; territory; Argentina.
