Abstract

PACHECO-MENDEZ, Teresa. Tradition, context and object of study in the doctoral theses in Education in three universities. Rev. iberoam. educ. super [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.12, pp.46-69. ISSN 2007-2872.

Objects of study of doctoral theses in Education in three university institutions are considered in this work as an open indicator for recovering multiple possibilities regarding the past, present and future directions of research behavior and researcher training in education. The study is developed from the reconstruction of the main aspects of the context of meaning (in each of the three cases studied) that allow for a greater understanding of the factors that influence the conceptual changes that took place in the arena of the study of education and its incidence in the current processes of training of researchers in Education, as expressed in doctoral theses.

Keywords : post-graduate studies; doctoral training; researcher training; doctoral thesis; object of study; France; Spain; Mexico.
