Abstract

SANCHEZ SERRANO, Julián. Scientificism and Utopia Outline for a History of Bolívar Echeverría’s Critical Discourse. Valenciana [online]. 2020, vol.13, n.25, pp.283-305.  Epub June 15, 2020. ISSN 2007-2538.  https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.vi25.484.

The concepts Scientificism and utopia appear in Bolívar Echeverría’s work since his early 1970’s writings until the essays and lectures of the late XX century. Nevertheless, Echeverría’s treatment and evaluation of these concepts shift along his work. This paper poses an outline for a history of Bolívar Echeverría’s discourse based on the transformation scientificism and utopia undergo in his essays. This way, we shall be able to grasp a fundamental idea in Echeverría’s thought, the natural form, taking shape in the core of said movement.

Keywords : Bolívar Echeverría; Scientificism; Utopia; Marxism; Natural Form.
