Abstract
GARCIA RODRIGUEZ, Liliana. Belleza y degradación del cuerpo humano en dos estéticas cinematográficas. El tiempo embalsamado. Valenciana [online]. 2016, vol.9, n.17, pp.189-214. ISSN 2007-2538.
This article departs from André Bazin’s reflection on the nature of mechanical image, particularly the ontological relation between the object captured by the camera and the visual outcome. It explores the idea that in a photo certain permanence of the photographed occurs. This idea allows to analyze the sort of things that takes place in cinematographic images, specifically, that films apprehend the happening of the world, due to motion. Two cinematographic aesthetics that celebrates life, focusing on human bodies, are studied. The aim is to show that movies allow a particular perception of the world thanks to film’s image realism.
