The purpose of this article is to reflect on the relationship between impropriety and propriety, in order to provide elements that help to decide if, from what Heidegger says in Being and Time, the second can be understood as a sustained decision that results in an ethos. The thesis to be demonstrated is that, even though Dasein daily assumes an inauthentic and superficial religiosity, the encounter with God and with the gods originates a radical transformation, which leads him to take responsibility for his existence
