After a brief review of the notion of diagrammatic inference, we show in which sense VENN provides a logical framework able to model some form of nonmonotonic diagrammatic inference. This result suggests that, just as there are classical and non-classical sentential logical systems, there may be classical and nonclassical diagrammatic logical systems.
