Abstract

GONZALEZ LOPEZ, Héctor Darío; VALENCIA MANZ, Salvador  and  GONZALEZ URIBE, Dino Ulises. Biomass yield table for Euphorbia antisyphilitica in the north of Zacatecas. Rev. Mex. Cienc. Agríc [online]. 2022, vol.13, n.3, pp.443-453.  Epub Aug 08, 2022. ISSN 2007-0934.  https://doi.org/10.29312/remexca.v13i3.2908.

The candelilla plant is a natural resource of importance in the arid and semiarid areas of Mexico, it provides marginal economic benefits to the inhabitants of the places where it grows in the wild. The overexploitation and lack of management plans for its conservation motivated to conduct this research in 2019 and as an objective, to select a model to estimate the pv= green weight (kg) or plant yield in the north of Zacatecas. The following morphometric variables were measured; h= average plant height (m); dma= largest aerial diameter (m); dme= smallest aerial diameter (m); coba= aerial cover (m2). The model selected was pv= -0.1882 + 3.7831 (dme); with an adjusted coefficient of determination; R2 adj= 0.9689; mean square error; MSE= 0.0371; coefficient of variation; CV= 15.29% and Akaike information; AIC= 0.7909, in this way it was possible to estimate the yield table for the plant.

Keywords : Akaike information; morphometric variables; regression.
