The oral conditions and deterioration increase their presence among the people at all levels: local, regional and national levels, with higher in the poorest conditions, so efforts have been coordinated between educational institutions and the health sector in order to carry out strategies, plans and programs focused on oral health. One of them has been the social service program at the end of the academic training of dental professionals as closing its formative stage.However this practice, a prerequisite for qualification process, is certainly a process that allows interns the dental face reality so check if they are ready for success in dental professional. Method: From this perspective were followed dental interns at the Autonomous University of Guerrero 2005-2010 generation who have applied surveys and were joined a discussion forum along with others involved in their training in order to really discuss social bonding of the professionals and their problems, to analyze the relevance of social service in the care of the health problems of the people in remote and the possibility that from experience, dentists consider practice professionally in rural areas. Results: It was found that in the beginning, the interns of the social service showed a willingness to develop their professional practice in remote communities, which varied the completion of their term of service due to a series of irregularities that occurred during the same with the that significantly reduced the interest of these professionals by work professionally out of the cities. Discussion or Conclusion: The results show the need to review the training and orientation of the professionals of the dentistry of the UAGro, but above all that the university discuss and agree with the institutions of the health sector of the national, state and municipal the articulation of an effective program to the attention of the oral health problems in marginalized communities.
