Given the rapid growth of tourism in the segment of cruise tourism in today's world, governments and all stakeholders in this special classification of tourism, have observed the need to understand more deeply the magnitude of the economic impact, the cruise industry produces different destinations. Also, understand in particular how cruise passengers spend their money during their stay, it is essential for the different actors involved in the management, growth and development of the tourism information. This research has as main purpose to analyze the economic impact of cruise tourism in the Dominican Republic. When we speak of cruise tourism, we not only refers to the vessel and the port-destination but a complex network in which multiple factors that act directly or indirectly make this tourist product one of the most important.
