Abstract

CATOGGIO, Leandro Martín. Foucault y la hermenéutica: convergencias y divergencias en torno a las prácticas sociales. En-clav. pen [online]. 2007, vol.1, n.1, pp.121-141. ISSN 2594-1100.

In the first part of the article, I analyze the path from the archeological to the genealogical method in Foucault's work focusing on the way in which the "dividing practices" form subjectivities. In the second part, I take into account Gadamer's Hermeneutics to consider the different ways of studying the relationship between the individuals and the social practices that constitute them. Finally, I point out agreements and disagreements between both proposals, and I affirm that Foucault's criticism of Hermeneutics is unjustified.

Keywords : Archeology; Genealogy; Hermeneutics; Linguistics; Interpretation.
