Abstract

VAZQUEZ VAZQUEZ, José Dionicio. Problemas de reinserción educativa en niños con experiencia migratoria: Tlaxcala. Migr. desarro [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.17, pp.113-137. ISSN 1870-7599.

Among the effects of migration, one aspect that concerns families that cross the U. S. border is in the area of education, especially when children need to be educated abroad. In this process, boys and girls face a difficult and adverse situation, especially if they do not speak English, which leaves them unable to communicate with teachers. In addition, the incompatibility of educational programs makes it difficult for children to advance and to learn a culture different from their own. This article addresses, in a preliminarily way, the enormous problem that public education systems in the place of origin confront in relation to children who have had a migratory experience in the United States. The institutions of public education that receive them, in this case the State of Tlaxcala's education system, must consider the diverse conflicts that these children face.

Keywords : children with migratory experience in the United States; educative reintegration in the states of origin; teaching problems in elementary education; international education; incomplete cultural assimilation.
