Our intention is to emphasize that the disputes and factional arrangements, that characterized post-revolution years, along economic crisis, outlined the directions that the state drew to contain the most visible effects of the pauperisation in the streets of Mexico City. Research for this article relied on the statistical Public Welfare records developed during the campaign against between 1930 and 1934.
