Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the relationship between social movements and political parties in Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela. The analysis focuses on the social policies implemented by governments and the disagreements in the relationship between government and social movements. It concludes by showing the importance of rebuilding this alliance under other guidelines in order to avoid the return and deepening of neoliberal politics in the continent.
