Abstract

Due to the extraordinary value that the voluntary will of the relationship of a couple, we propose to examine the main agreements that organize personal and financial effects, from current coexistence, and in advance, to those provisional of the effects of a future cohabitational crisis. The negotiation of these legal instruments, that vacillate between the protection of the freedom of its parties and the principles that constitute family public order, are analyzed from the perspective of the Spanish legal system and the regulations that are provided in the civil law of Catalonia, in which different types of agreements are contemplated in view of the timing of their effects.
