Abstract

LOPEZ SANTIAGO, Marco Andrés; VALDIVIA ALCALA, Ramón; ROMO LOZANO, José Luis  and  CUEVAS ALVARADO, Cristóbal Martín. Análisis de economías rurales mediante el modelo de hogares agrícolas bajo un equilibrio general. EconoQuantum [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.1, pp.91-113. ISSN 2007-9869.

This research shows the results of the evaluation of some agricultural policies in a rural village, using the Village Computable General Equilibrium Model (Village CGEM) programmed in the General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS). Three types of policies were simulated: elimination of the Income Support Program of Agriculture (PROCAMPO), the increase in the price of agricultural products and livestock products. With respect to total household income, the results suggest that a policy of monetary transfer directly to agricultural households is more effective than a policy of agricultural productivity. It is concluded that the methodology of village CGEM is a better tool in the analysis of rural economies than the methodologies within the multisectoral village models.

Keywords : políticas agropecuarias; hogares agrícolas; modelo de equilibrio general computable rural.
