Abstract

FERNANDEZ, Cristina Beatriz. The colonial hispanicamerican world in the Revista de Filosofía. Península [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.2, pp.49-68. ISSN 1870-5766.  https://doi.org/10.1016/j.pnsla.2017.06.003.

The aim of this paper is to analyze extensive collection of the journal Revista de Filosofía (Buenos Aires, 1915-1929) where there are some articles devoted to the study of the history, the society or the culture of the Colonial Spanish America. The number of the articles on this topic is lower than the number of other themes, because the ideological orientation of the publication is modern and scientific. Consequently, even if reduced in number, the view on Colonial America merits an analysis in order to comprehend the place and function of these texts within the journal and the relationship between the object, the colonial world, and the disciplines that examine it.

Keywords : Revista de Filosofía; José Ingenieros; Latin America; Colony; knowledge.
