Abstract

STEPANENKO GUTIERREZ, Pedro. Autoconciencia y regresión al infinito en Descartes y Kant. Península [online]. 2005, vol.1, n.0, pp.199-217. ISSN 1870-5766.

One of the main ideas of modern philosophy of mind is that there isn't consciousness without self-consciousness. Some contemporary philosophers reject this idea because it falls into paradoxes among wich there is an infinite regress of states of consciousness. In this paper I show how Descartes and Kant could subscribe to that idea avoiding this infinite regress.

Keywords : self-consciousness; infinite regress; Descartes; Kant; Henrich.
