MARTINEZ MARTINEZ, Verónica Lidia. Long-Term Care in the European Union. Rev. latinoam. derecho soc [online]. 2022, n.35, pp.127-147.  Epub Feb 07, 2023. ISSN 2448-7899.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.24487899e.2022.35.17274.

Long-term care or long-term care in the European Union is the object of study of this work, therefore with the help of analytical and comparative methods, we start from its conceptualization and establish the main characteristics of this type of benefits, to later address the issue regarding their lack of inclusion in Regulation 883/2004 and the proposals for modifying this ordinance and Regulation 987/2009 so that long-term care may be recognized as benefits of Social Security.

Keywords : long-term care; Regulation 883/2004; social security; coordination.
