Abstract

MENDIZABAL BERMUDEZ, Gabriela. Analysis of the corporate responsibility before the workers in Mexico. Rev. latinoam. derecho soc [online]. 2013, n.16, pp.123-145. ISSN 2448-7899.

This article includes the analysis of corporate responsibility in Mexico from a different perspective. Corporate responsibility becomes apparent in companies that not only fulfill their legal responsibilities, but that go beyond inquiring what is their responsibility to society beyond mere compliance with legal norms, nevertheless reality shows us how companies that appear to the consumers’ eye as socially responsible, are not anymore once the analysis is performed regarding their confrontation and treatment of basic issues to social responsibility as social security, respect to employee’s dignity or their right to education. Therefore and because of methodological issues we present a conceptual framework in the first place, which analyzes from a legal perspective companies and their social responsibility, then we present the Mexican economic framework in order to be in position to understand the context of the study. Later, analysis over unusual factors in relation to corporate responsibility, but of remarkable importance to society, is performed.

Keywords : Social responsibility; companies; labour law.
