This study aims to analyze the main impacts of the Inter-American Convention on the Forced Disappearance of Persons in the Brazilian legal system. Firstly, its appearance, its structure and main aspects are analyzed. The next section addresses the conventional definition of forced disappearance, its configuration as multiple violations of human rights and as an international crime, including as a crime against humanity in certain cases. Finally, the main domestic implications of these instruments for the Brazilian State are analyzed.
