Abstract

Objective: to analyze the dialectical movement of struggle between the political subordination imposed by Torch Movement in the municipal government of Ixtapaluca, in the Estado de México, and the form of community politics in the management of material goods of communal use. Methodology: an investigation induced by a dialectical exploration, with documentary research techniques and participant observation. Results: it is elucidated what the distinctive characteristics of each political form are and, therefore, the main contradictions in conflict when they are exercised empirically. Limitations: the analysis was carried out only in one municipality. Value: this research presents the way in which political subordination operates and makes visible the community policy’s counter-movement. Conclusions: community policy’s difficulties to sustain the fight against subordination are enumerated.
