Abstract

RAMIREZ ZAVALA, Ana Luz. Proceso de transición en el marco institucional mexicano a través de la comercialización del garbanzo, 1916-1924. Región y sociedad [online]. 2013, vol.25, n.57, pp.241-272. ISSN 2448-4849.

Chickpea commercialization in Sonora and Sinaloa between 1916 and 1924 shows the institutional change that evolved from the incorporation of strategies to reduce negotiation costs. These measures were advocated by organizations involved in chickpea production and sale, as well as their brokers, during a critical moment in the national and international political and economic context, and were institutionalized during the post-revolutionary regime to overcome the adverse conditions for the export of this grain.

Keywords : chickpea; institutional frame; organizations; institutional change; exportation; Sonora and Mexico 20th century history.
