Abstract

TREJO, Zulema. Estatuto Provisional del Imperio Mexicano: su aplicación al gobierno departamental sonorense, 1865-1866. Región y sociedad [online]. 2007, vol.19, n.40, pp.171-188. ISSN 2448-4849.

The purpose of the present article is to compare legislation established in the Provisional Statute of the Mexican Empire, which governed imperial departments, and the way it was enacted in Sonora.This article consists of six parts. The first three describe the establishment process of the Second Empire and clarify the meaning of a statute in general, and the Provisional Statute of the Mexican Empire in particular. In the fourth and fifth parts, we analyze title IX of the Statute, which establishes the institutional framework for the departments. The sixth part contains conclusions.
