Abstract
FRIAS SARMIENTO, Eduardo. Financiamientos para la agricultura comercial de Sinaloa: 1932-1949: El creciente papel de los actores privados regionales y estadounidenses. Región y sociedad [online]. 2007, vol.19, n.39, pp.135-158. ISSN 2448-4849.
The agricultural development experienced in Sinaloa during the 20th century cannot be explained without the conjunction of diverse factors, financial support being among the outstanding ones. This article will deal with financial support because of its importance: the growth and harvest of agricultural crops, as well as their commercialization, and above all their export, depended mainly on regular investments of personal wealth, loans, and private and public capital, in this case, state and federal. We want to explore credit granting to the tomato venture, channeled through institutions created expressly to promote commercial agriculture. This represented an essential aspect for tomato export.
Keywords : Sinaloa; financing; commercial agriculture; credit; tomato venture; external market.
