The growth and evolution of international trade has become increasingly complex the task assigned to the Customs. The Customs Administration is an important regulator of international trade operations, as well as a trade facilitator and accelerator. However, the study of efficiency in the public sector is more complex than the study of efficiency in the private sector, due to the measurement of efficiency in the public sector involves a bigger effort in identifying relevant variables. The aim of this research is to determine the relative efficiency of customs as a determinant of international trade recital 4 inputs and 3 outputs. The results show that of the 29 economies surveyed only 13 were effective, this being: Germany, Chile, China, Korea, Spain, France, Hong Kong, India, Panama, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland and Turkey.
