BELLO-SANCHEZ, Edgar Ahmed et al. Enlargement of altitudinal and geographical distribution of Lithobates johni and new record for Veracruz, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2014, vol.85, n.3, pp.979-981. ISSN 2007-8706.  https://doi.org/10.7550/rmb.43434.

We present additions to the geographical and altitudinal distribution of Lithobates johni, as a new record to the herpetofauna of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. Specimens were collected within river of Pancho Poza Ecological Reserve, a protected area located in the central highlands of the state. The study extends the altitudinal distribution range for this endangered species, more than 1 200 m from its previous limit. Also the known geographical distribution range for the species extends more than 50 km to the South of the nearest record (Tehucante River, Puebla).
