Abstract

OCANA-LUNA, Alberto; MARTINEZ-GUZMAN, Lydia Alejandra  and  SANCHEZ-RAMIREZ, Marina. New records of the parasite Probopyrus pacificensis (Isopoda: Bopyridae) in southern Nayarit and northern Jalisco, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2009, vol.80, n.1, pp.259-261. ISSN 2007-8706.

New observations of Probopyrus pacificensis were recorded in Arroyo San Francisco, southern Nayarit, and Arroyo Palo María, northern Jalisco, in the Mexican Pacific, infesting the freshwater shrimp Macrobrachium tenellum.

Keywords : Crustacea; freshwater shrimp; epicaridean isopod; extension of distribution range.
