A single species of Podocarpaceae (Podocarpus reichei)is reported from the Mexican state of Hidalgo. A description of the genus and species, geographic distribution and habitat information in the state, and the reference of the herbarium specimens examined are provided. This species is distributed only in the Sierra Madre Oriental biogeographic province.
