Abstract

BUSTOS LOPEZ, Olga Natalia et al. Analytical Microsystem for the Monitoring and Analysis of Cobalt in Aqueous Solutions Using LTCC Technology. J. Mex. Chem. Soc [online]. 2014, vol.58, n.4, pp.411-415. ISSN 1870-249X.

This work is focused on the design and implementation of a microsystem for continuous colorimetric determination of cobalt in aqueous solutions in real time. The main goal is the colorimetric determination of cobalt by adapting colorimetric methodologies used in discontinuous analy-sis systems to a continuous flow system and its subsequent miniaturization using the LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) technology. The measure absorbance was recorded using an optical detection system based on a LED (Light Emitting Diode) with a wavelength of 540 nm.

Keywords : Colorimetry; Continuous flow; LTCC; Laboratory Virtual instrumentation; LED.
