The troubles that small grain producers face when they must commercialize are more serious each year, since Mexican government opted for open market. In order to relieve this chaotic situation, the State has promoted grain commercialization politics whose objective is to improve the income of producers and control the markets. This article provides a critical review of the Subprogram called Direct Support to Objective Income in order to evaluate its true incidence on small grain producers.
