Since the advent of globalization, international migration has significantly increased due to the flexibility and mobility of both production factors and labor. Mexico is currently undergoing a crisis of forced displacements that has exponentially intensified in recent years, bringing with it both Central American migrants and Venezuelan refugees. The present research paper aims to identify the main experiences of refugees once they are established in Mexico. Moreover, it seeks to explain how these experiences may help in the formulation of public policy for combatting said problem in Mexico. The present research comprised indepth interviews with Venezuelan refugees established, in recent years, in the municipality of Montemorelos, Nuevo León. The interviews were designed based on the compilation of the scientific literatura presented in the present article.
