Abstract

GARCIA PALACIOS, Omar A.. The Mexican Constitution of 1917 and its Influence on the Political Constitution of Nicaragua of 1939. Rev. IUS [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.38. ISSN 1870-2147.

This article aims to indicate possible influences of the Mexican Constitution of 1917 on some aspects of the Nicaraguan Constitution of 1939. In this sense, this influence is presented in three sections: a) protection; b) labor matter; c) agricultural matter. The Constitution of 1939 is chosen because the previous one in force in Nicaragua was of 1911 with reforms in 1913. In case of the protection, the influence is previous to the Constitution of 1939; in labor matter (right to work), its influence is total; and in case of agricultural matter, it will be with less intensity, but it will mark a starting point in it development in the Nicaraguan constitutionalism.

Keywords : Constitution; Mexico; History; Nicaragua; Constitutional Right.
