Abstract

PEREZ GALLARDO, Leonardo B.. Human organ and tissue donation from living donors and the notarial function. Rev. IUS [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.36, pp.179-202. ISSN 1870-2147.

Execution by way of notarial certification the donation of human organs and tissues with its gravely serious nature, and its possible revocation, generates a undoubtable responsibility to the notary who, in the exercise of his competent public authority, has to ensure the free expression of will for the giver, without any economic compensation, precisely because of altruistic nature of this action. The notary is the key piece in the preventive legal security that the State of Law requires.

Keywords : Human organs and tissues donation; notary; notarial function; public document.
