15M was the beginning of the process of change in Spain and is significance in the world because, for the first time since 1989, a protest movement against the system has come to have a global impact. Consequently, all political parties in Spain now attend to the demands of this movement, either to promote changes in their programs to attempt to meet their demands or to try to assume its political representation as Podemos does. This article considers the political tradition of the country and the emergence of 15M, to later comment on the criticisms of Podemos as the heir to 15M, and to finish with the analysis of its relationship with social organizations . The essay is organized in five sections that together give a multifaceted view of the problem. The goal is to try to counter the skepticism of Quixote about the possibility of understanding the reasons and dynamics of social change.
