Abstract

ZAZUETA LUZANILLA, Edgar I.  and  SANDOVAL GODOY, Sergio A.. Concepciones de género y conflictos de pareja: Un estudio con parejas pobres heterosexuales en dos zonas urbanas de Sonora. Culturales [online]. 2013, vol.1, n.2, pp.91-118. ISSN 2448-539X.

In this article we present the results of an investigation that had as a main goal the characterization of gender conceptualizations and conflict in heterosexual couples which live in poverty conditions. The data collections were conducted in two cities in Sonora State. The study is based in the theoretical assumptions on intimacy transformation in modern societies. A qualitative method was conducted on interviews collected. We observed the presence of hybrid models in gender conceptualizations in couple relationships, associated with conflict situations that produce different types of couple relationships. These relationships are regulated in a gender traditional conceptual framework of love and parenthood, which affects women and man in differentiated ways.

Keywords : gender studies; conflicts couples; modernity; poverty.
