Abstract

SOTO RAMIREZ, Juan. Reflexiones antropológicas sobre la unidad, la diversidad y la cultura. Culturales [online]. 2009, vol.5, n.10, pp.91-120. ISSN 2448-539X.

In this article -which discusses unity and diversity in anthropology-culture is taken as a pretext to develop a set of reflexions divided in two parts. In the first one the problem of the comparison between the "enlightened" and "romantic" perspectives as related to unity and diversity. In the second part the problem of the concept of culture is approached, without forgetting the discusion of the first part. Throughout the article it is argued that it is difficult to hold the existence of universal principles to think and understand culture.

Keywords : lack of culture; enlightened position; romantic position; cultural framework; state of the unnatural.
