Abstract

RICCI CERNADAS, Gonzalo. Descartes and his physics: body and divinity. Andamios [online]. 2023, vol.20, n.51, pp.355-370.  Epub Sep 29, 2023. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v20i51.1010.

The present work is made up of two moments: the first devoted to the restitution of the notion of the body that can be seen in Descartes’s thought on physics; the second refers to a holistic study of Cartesian physics and its relation to God. It is based on these two points that, in conclusion, we will derive corollaries that could inform a political consideration of the philosophy of Descartes.

Keywords : Descartes; body; physics; God; movement.
