Abstract

SVENSSON, Manfred. Cultural, structural and directional diversity. The neocalvinist contribution to contemporary reflection on pluralism. Andamios [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.40, pp.107-129.  Epub May 18, 2020. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v16i40.699.

The article discusses an approach that evaluates plurality in three different dimensions: a diversity of basic orientations, of contexts or cultures, and of structures and associations. I discuss the origin of this tripartite approach in contemporary Calvinism, but I also suggest that this successful integration of various dimensions can fruitfully be appropriated by other intellectual traditions.

Keywords : Neocalvinism; pluralism; worldview; culture; Kuyper.
