Abstract

CESANA, Raffaele. The Role of the Henríquez Ureña in the Spreading Process of Ariel in the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico (1901-1908). Latinoamérica [online]. 2019, n.69, pp.43-69. ISSN 2448-6914.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cialc.24486914e.2019.69.57144.

This paper proposes an analysis of the role Pedro and Max Henríquez Ureña had in the spreading process of Ariel, written by José Enrique Rodó (1871-1917), in the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico, during the period from 1901 to 1908. The archival and hemerographic research that sustains the present work tries not only to reconstruct the history of the editions of Ariel, but also to resignify the system of the intellectual networks Rodó established regarding the Antillean and Mexican literary scene.
