Abstract

This article main goal is to analyse the representations of the Cuban and Sandinista revolutions on the exilic magazine Araucaria de Chile, during its publication period, from 1978 to 1990. The magazine was created by Chilean intellectuals exiled during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, most of them associated to the Communist Party of Chile. The Araucaria de Chile magazine reserved a considerable space to political analysis of both Latin-American revolution, giving them a positive tone and having them as a model for an attempt to revert the dictatorial order in Chile.
