Abstract

BAGGENSTOSS, Sallí  and  DONADONE, Julio Cesar. The public health intermediated by social organizations: Arrangements and adjustments in the last two decades in Brazil. Latinoamérica [online]. 2014, n.59, pp.69-98. ISSN 2448-6914.

A part of the hospitals in São Paulo is management by organizations that receive the qualification: "Social Organizations Health". This article aims to understand the changes occurring in space, the configurations and opposition. Using a qualitative approach, the methodology involved field research and bibliography on organizations, origin, divergences and specificities. As results it was evident that organizations previously were acting in health and this election is an individual choice of the Health's Secretary, with the opposition consisting of sanitarians, councils and health's union, these arch for legitimacy comes from events with self-promotion, univocal speeches and publications. The distribution of hospitals in the regions reveals the territorial occupation in health of the State.
