The purpose of this article is to make a review of three important moments, during the XXth century, in which the relations between Mexico and the United States were reconsidered in order to confront the political crisis in the Centralamerican isthmus and to participate in the peace negotiations: the Conferences of 1906 and 1907, the Washington Conference of 1923, and the peace process leaded by Mexico and the Contadora Group during the 80’s, which culminated in the Esquipulas Agreements.
