The conditions of the city in general and neighborhoods in particular provide elements that help define the lifestyles of urban indigenous youth, who, in turn, contribute images and sensabilities that renew and reshape the city. This article contributes to the current discussion on the lifestyles emerging among a large and growing sector of indigenous youth living in urban centers, taking as a case study the city of San Cristobal de Las Casas, emphasizing the production of social spaces of young people in this heterotopic city.
