Abstract

ZAPATA DE LA CRUZ, Jenny. Tlaxcala: entre la modernización y la frontera del retroceso -del Prosperato a la Revolución Mexicana-. LiminaR [online]. 2010, vol.8, n.1, pp.137-154. ISSN 2007-8900.

The following piece of work it has divided in three sections: the first one belongs to the intervention to state in the modernization of Tlaxcala to last decade XIX century; that analysis displays the ideas of the governor Próspero Cahuantzi and the progressive projects to Porfirio Díaz that they had a profound impact on state. The second stage set out deterioration of the infrastructures because of bad use of the revolutionary people; and finally it represents the course that the state took since the 20s of the XX century. This work focuses on: 1 That modernization in Tlaxcala is a long duration process direct by a "paternalist" State that it was manifested to the ends of XIX century. 2 And the progressive process of modernity can appreciate at infrastructures and the groups of power that generate around them.
