Abstract

ANDRESEN EGUILUZ, R et al. Formación de una capa tribológica en la aleación SAE-783. Ingenier. mecáni. tecnolog. desarroll [online]. 2009, vol.3, n.3, pp.85-90. ISSN 1665-7381.

The microstructural change experienced by the surfaces of ductile tribologic alloys is of special interest to achieve a reduction in the friction coefficient and limit the wear of components such as journal bearings. The parameters mentioned above determine the performance and operating life of mechanical elements in relative motion. It can be seen that severe plastic deformation is induced, even when working with small loads and short times, achieving a depth in the micrometer scale. This tribolayer develops under extreme operating conditions, forming a metastable structure, as a result of the high contact pressures achieved.

Keywords : Tribolayer; journal bearing; wear; friction coefficient.
