Abstract

This article analizes a relativaly unfamiliar actor of the mexican political scene in the mid-thirties of the XXth century: the Leftist Socialist Party wich was associated with the personality of Adalberto Tejeda, and launched his political candidature to the presidency of the republic in 1934. It also analizes its political program, its organization, as well as most of the ramifications it had across the country. Through its newspaper, we may know the main moments of the presidential campaign and, finally, it studies one obscure and unknown aspect of this political party: the period between 1937 and 1940 in wich, once Tejeda had left the organization, it fruitless intented to relocated itself inside the political scene of the country.
