Abstract

OIKION SOLANO, Verónica. From the Mexican Revolution to the worldwide Revolution: Politicians from Michoacan and the international Communist in México. Sig. his [online]. 2009, vol.11, n.21, pp.60-103. ISSN 1665-4420.

The body of this article focuses on the radical groups that emerged among the educated middle classes, workers and peasants in Michoacán, built relations and contacts with the Mexican Communist Party after its founding in 1919, and created a bridge with the Third Communist International based on their experiences in the class struggle and their insertion in, and impact on, the revolutionary process of 1910; political actions that spurred the spread of communism in Mexico. The essay proposes a new perspective on the actions of groups in Michoacán whose roots in the revolutionary conflagration of 1910 led them to adopt a more radical stance and espouse ideological positions that linked them to the promised worldwide revolution through the programmatic directives of the Comintern and its Mexican section.

Keywords : Mexican Revolution; Mexican Communist Party; Michoacan Socialist Party; mugiquismo; Third International Communist.
