Abstract
MIRANDA OJEDA, Pedro. Una aproximación a la elite y a las fiestas de familia en la ciudad de Mérida, segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Sig. his [online]. 2007, vol.9, n.18, pp.36-57. ISSN 1665-4420.

The different ways to carryout the celebrations persued an intention to reaffirm the preminence of those who got together there; therefore, the possibilities of social encounter between groups of different social status were almost inexistence because the sociability was restricted to a limited circle.
